THE 48th UAE NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATION         AT DPS, SHARJAH

 

 

The celebrations of the 48th UAE National Day is the celebration of the count of years since this nation was united. In this united front, the country has seized an incredible image under the efficient leadership of the beloved rulers who have steered the country to great heights. The remembrance of this remarkable day is beyond the lights of celebration, engraved in the hearts of the generations, living in the exceptional glory of the UAE.


DPS SHARJAH has showcased their immense patriotism and pride for this country during the week (24th-27th November, 2019) through various activities and initiatives that have enlightened and lifted the spirits of our students, soaring high, the UAE Flag. Our Middle School Students decked out their classrooms displaying the history and achievements of the UAE at the backdrop of the colourful flags of UAE. Students brought Arabic sweets to share with their classmates to inculcate the culture and heritage of this beloved nation. The students participated at the best of their abilities as they connected minds and envisioned the great achievements of the Nation.


Grade 6 students kept in mind the spirit of tolerance; with 2019 been declared as ‘Year of Tolerance’, and made colourful and creative posters on tolerance. The great importance in Arabic, a language of pristine value in the UAE was also portrayed through songs. The winners for the same from grade 6 girls are class 6F and 6H and the winners from grade 6 boys is class 6N.
The grade 7 girls took to words to express their patriotism for their nation by making profiles about UAE in the past and in the future which was also written in Arabic, to show off the culture of this nation. The winners for the same from grade 7 girls is class 7A.


“If it can be penned down in words, it can be filmed in scenes.” This was the mantra of our grade 7 boys as they portrayed their movie making and acting skills in short movies about the major landmarks and monuments of the UAE, showing their appreciation for this country. The winners for the same from grade 7 boys is class 7I.


Words are powerful and can create an impact in one’s mindset and way of thinking. Grade 8 proved these words right with their heart-felt words in the form of informative profiles about two of this nation’s greatest achievements, UAE’S vision in the advent of EXPO 2020 and UAE’s First Astronaut, Hazza Al Mansouri; all written in Arabic to show their love to this wonderful nation. . The winners for the same from grade 8 girls are classes 8A and 8D and the winners from grade 8 boys is class 8H.


“Our country may be small, but our people are remarkable and the feats that we have achieved are amazing.” quoted the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. This 48th UAE National Day has indeed kindled a spark in the minds of Dipsites and will live on throughout the ages of this country’s heights and achievements.
